‘About Nothing’ is a series of photographs about nothing. They are unrelated, incompatible, disorderly, and unnamed. Even though I enjoyed thoroughly the act of making them, I do not know why I made them. Maybe the performance part of photography engrossed me more than seeing part of it. In spite of having a recognizable subject matter in most of the images, I do not intend them to convey any meaning to the viewer; my intent is to attach the viewer to the images through the act of gazing and detach them for a moment from the surroundings. I wish every image to surpass the previous and the next one is a surprise than the obvious. It becomes a journey through the notion of incongruity.
